IEX needed to announce its entry into options trading in a way that could break through at the industry’s biggest conference. At the PGA Resort in South Florida, the experience had to pull people in fast, tell the story clearly, and give traders a reason to stop, engage, and remember IEX.
Introducing the Liquidity Lounge, a branded environment designed to stand out at the conference poolside event. The entire 3-day event would feature room drops, digital storytelling, and premium takeaways that came together as one cohesive experience.
The guest’s first look into the Liquidity Lounge brand started 24 hours before the event even opened. The night before the conference, attendees at the PGA Resort arrived in their hotel rooms to find a curated Room Drop. The kit included an invitation to the Liquidity Lounge on the following day.
The Liquidity Lounge was designed to do more than look good, it was built to communicate. The space was conceived as a sanctuary within the conference environment: a place where market makers could relax, connect, and absorb IEX's message at their own pace.
Wayfinding signage guided attendees from the hotel's high-traffic areas to the cabana, where digital displays built anticipation about the launch of IEX Options throughout the day.
When guests arrived at the pool, they were greeted by a 10-foot IEX logo floating in the water, along with branded rafts and innertubes. Nearby, the IEX poolside cabana was completely transformed into The Liquidity Lounge, designed with a surf club aesthetic complete with rattan furniture, lush plants, and a custom Liquidity Lounge neon sign.
